New version 2.0.8 released

After a long break I will update this blog for the new version 2.0.8 :-) 

  • support for ADW and GO launcher themes (it's beta at the moment, only a few icons will be replaced correctly, but I'm working on this)
  • new advertisements are included (only in the light version), but they can be removed in the 'Extra configuration'
  • optional vibrate fx on open
  • configurable circle offset added
  • minor bug fixes

  1. Hi Dirk,
    Just wondering why there was a change in app permissions? I'm using CircleLauncher Light, and it now wants access to my phone state and identity, including any active calls there might be. Also it wants permission to create internet connections (open a TCP socket I assume), and for the life of me I can't imagine why a launcher would require any of these new permissions.
    Any explanations?

    1. Hi,

      this is needed for the ads (internet connection for loading the apps, phone state to check if a connection available) - but I think, it was a bad decision to add this, so it will be removed in the next release because it makes only problems :-)
